Halff was contracted with HKS Architects and Kalahari Resorts and Conventions to provide surveying, civil engineering design, permitting and construction phase services for the development of the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Round Rock, Texas. The project entails a 975-room family resort, a 200,000-sf indoor water park, a 150,000-sf family entertainment center, and a 150,000-sf convention center. The project sits on a portion of a 350-acre tract across the street from the Dell Diamond on E. Palm Valley Drive. Halff provided civil engineering design services for the following major improvements for this project:

  • Kalahari Boulevard, a public 4-lane major collector roadway through the project tying into Harrell Parkway and Kenney Fort Boulevard with signalization
  • 3,000+ parking spaces and private drives
  • Public looped water distribution system
  • Public and private wastewater collection system
  • Public and private storm sewer system
  • Public and private stormwater detention facilities
  • Mass grading and fine grading for compliance with the Americans Disability Act
