Inside Halff 04-09-2015
Halff’s creative minds were at it again! Members of the Architecture and Landscape Architecture teams put their heads together to design an exhibition piece for AIA Dallas’ annual Retrospect Exhibition at NorthPark Center. This year’s entry was realized through the use of digital design and fabrication technologies, resulting in a free-form geometric sculpture consisting of over 500 pieces. Standing at a height of over 7’ this year’s exhibit consists of 502 unique cardboard pieces. Each cut to shape by a laser cutter and assembled vertically on a base milled from Baltic birch on a CNC router.
