Inside Halff 08-31-2021
Halff and partner Peinado Construction cosponsored an industrial development bus tour for IWIRE North Texas in early August, touring multiple projects at or near DFW Airport.
IWIRE, or Industrial Women in Real Estate, is “dedicated to creating a dynamic and supportive environment for women in the industrial real estate business who are transactional professionals from a variety of firms, specialties and all levels of experience in the North Texas market.”
The tour was led by Peinado Executive Vice President Robert Shelton and Halff Director of Architecture Derek Downs. About 35 IWIRE members participated in the event, which looked at several sites in which Halff was the architect, civil engineer or both.
“We were very excited to support IWIRE with this on-site hard hat tour, providing details on both previous projects and upcoming developments,” said Business Development Manager Frances Notinger, who is a new IWIRE member.
The following Halff projects were stops or drive-bys on the development tour:
Project Pedregal: Halff served as the architect for this 1.5 million sf tilt-wall food-grade distribution facility, which includes a 300,000 sf cooler and 42,000 sf two-story office space.
Gateway Business Park: Our Architecture practice was behind the design of this 86-acre speculative industrial development, which includes five tilt-wall facilities totaling more than 1.4 million sf.
DFW Park 161, Phase I: Halff was the civil engineer and architect for Phase I, which consisted of mass grading and infrastructure of 200 acres for three speculative warehouse buildings totaling more than 1 million sf.
DFW Park 161, Phase II: Halff is the civil engineer for a one-story, tilt-wall package delivery service facility totaling 219,000 sf.
DFW ILC Building D: This 425,000 sf warehouse, for which Halff is the civil engineer, includes relocating an existing water line, plus road improvements for DFW Airport.
LV3: Halff is the civil engineer for a Prologis 175,000 sf warehouse in Lewisville, Texas.
