A Legacy in Motion: 2025 Year in Review

Another year wrapped, closing out a year shaped by meaningful work, collaboration and progress across Halff.

We honored our history while looking ahead, grounded in values that guide our teams in serving clients, supporting one another and strengthening the communities we serve.

Celebrating 75 Years of Excellence

The year 2025 marked a milestone year for Halff as we celebrated our 75th anniversary! Founded in 1950 by Dr. Albert Halff, our firm was built on a mission to improve lives and communities through thoughtful, high-quality work.

Throughout our diamond anniversary year, we honored that history while looking ahead.

Kicking off the celebrations, we unveiled a tribute video showcasing leaders who were mentored or influenced by Dr. Halff himself.

The yearlong anniversary celebration included employee events across offices, volunteer initiatives to give back to our communities and stories highlighting Halff’s impact over the decades.

From sharing archival photos and founder insights to hosting commemorative gatherings, we reflected on where we’ve been and reaffirmed our commitment to shaping the future.

Halff’s people gathered in April 2025 for an Awards Gala celebrating excellence in our people and projects.

This year also marked Halff’s inaugural Awards Gala, celebrating our expanded awards program. Created to celebrate excellence and the people behind the firm’s success, recognitions included a Project of the Year award, Trusted Advisor award, Leadership Impact award and much more!

As Halff looks ahead, 75 years of experience remains a strong foundation for what comes next.

Expanding Our Reach

Halff not only strengthened its presence in the regions we serve, but also expanded into two new states (Arizona and Georgia). We opened a total of three new office locations (Atlanta, Dallas and Phoenix) and welcomed C&D Utility Consulting, LLC to enhance our energy capabilities.

All these additions reinforced our growing footprint across the Southern U.S.

Summertime marked the opening of Halff’s new Dallas office, returning to where we were founded in 1950 and reflecting our continued commitment to serving clients in the city where our 75-year legacy began.

Alongside these efforts, Halff remained focused on building our people. Team members earned a multitude of new licenses and certifications, many people participated in Halff’ professional development program and the firm welcomed 80 interns throughout the year.

Together these efforts supported collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuity across the organization.

Excellence on Display

Halff earned its fourth consecutive USA TODAY Top Workplaces national honor and received seven regional Top Workplace awards in 2025. Halff also reached a major milestone, setting a record with 24 projects awards in 2025 and earning the first-ever ACEC National Honor Award for the RM 620 Railroad Overpass and Roundabout project.

A Legacy of Service

Giving back has long been part of Halff’s identity. That legacy of service, rooted in our founder Dr. Halff, continues to guide how the firm supports communities through the Halff Community Initiative (HCI).

Since our nonprofit’s founding in 2017, HCI reached an astonishing giving milestone in 2025: $1 million in monetary donations!

Richardson employees volunteered together at Feed My Starving Children during HCI Giving Week’s “Day of Giving,” occurring on Dr. Halff’s birthday. 

The annual tradition of HCI Giving Week, which took place Aug. 18-22, 2025, was intentionally planned to align with what would have been Dr. Halff’s 110th birthday on August 20th.

Named our “Legacy in Action” Giving Week, this hallmark week of giving rallied our people across all offices. We supported more than 60 charitable organizations, donated more than $45,000 to those in need and garnered over 1,000 volunteer hours during the week alone!

Our legacy of 75 years is defined not only by where we’ve been, but by how we continue to move forward. Built on decades of trust, expertise and service, Halff remains focused on preserving that foundation while meeting the evolving needs of clients and communities.

We remain committed to delivering thoughtful and smart solutions. Guided by the same values established from the start, Halff continues to build upon our legacy while preparing for what comes next.
