The Story Behind Destination Parks

Merriam-Webster defines destination as “a place worthy of travel or an extended visit.” In the landscape architecture world, that destination could be a park, an urban plaza or even a walkway that connects points of interest within a community.

Destination parks all have stories to tell. What’s behind the design? Where do the ideas come from? What does the space say to its visitors?
