Michael Coffey, Ph.D., PE, LEED AP, Joins Halff as Land and Site Development Team Leader

RICHARDSON, Texas — Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nation’s leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, is proud to announce that Michael Coffey, Ph.D., PE, LEED AP, has joined Halff as the team leader in Land and Site Development in the Jacksonville office. Michael brings more than 25 years of experience in design and project management to Halff. He has developed a wide range of projects, which include utility infrastructure, higher education, transportation and water resources. As team leader, Michael will help grow the firm’s business in Northeast Florida.

Prior to Halff, Michael managed architectural and engineering teams for delivery of large industrial, land development and higher-educational projects, as well as serving as the civil engineer of record. He has done extensive work consulting for public and private-sector clients in site development, utilities, water and wastewater treatment facilities, environmental projects and planning. His diverse experience makes him a valuable asset in developing client relationships for Halff. He has also served as the consulting city engineer for the cities of Belleview, Inverness, Williston, Palm Coast and the Town of Interlachen in Florida. A few notable projects include Crane Island, a low-impact development subdivision in Nassau County, the expansion of a 130-acre distribution facility for the United Parcel Service in Jacksonville, and a 50-acre shopping center, Parkway Shops, which was carefully developed through a floodway for RPT Realty in Jacksonville.

Michael earned his Ph.D., MS and BS degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida and a BS in Physics from Florida Atlantic University. He is a licensed professional engineer in six states, including Florida, and is involved with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers and Delta Epsilon Iota.
