Lamberto “Bobby” Ballí, PE, PWLF, has joined Halff as vice president and director of public works for South Texas. Bobby has more than 30 years of multi-discipline experience in developing, designing and constructing infrastructure projects for the public and private sectors. He has held upper management positions such as director of public works and/or city engineer for the Texas cities of McAllen, South Padre Island and Brownsville. He performed as a program manager for more than 12 years for large public works infrastructure projects with a national consulting firm.
In 2011, Bobby was appointed to the Texas Board of Professional Engineers where he has served in various capacities and as the NCEES Southern Zone secretary/treasurer. He served on the Board of Directors for the American Public Works Association and was state president in 2012. He sits on the Texas A&M University Civil Engineering Advisory Council lending expertise and guidance in helping the college advance its program, maintain its status as one of the top engineering programs in the country and prepare the next generation of engineering leaders.
