Richardson, Texas — Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nation’s leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, is pleased to announce Bill Swope, Certified Photogrammetrist (CP), has joined Halff’s corporate headquarters in Richardson as Survey and Geospatial business development manager.
Bill comes to Halff from a national photogrammetric and remote sensing firm, where he served as the business development manager for its Texas operations. Bill opened the firm’s Dallas office and oversaw offices in Houston and El Paso while developing a $1.2 million Texas sales pipeline between June 2017 and December 2018. Bill’s prior experience also includes serving as business development manager for a national Geographic Information Systems (GIS) consulting firm, and as general manager and regional manager of consulting and development for a national aerial mapping and remote sensing firm.
With more than 13 years of experience in the photogrammetric industry, Bill is experienced in all aspects of photogrammetry, including Aero-Triangulation (AT), compilation, planimetric data collection, map editing and QA/QC procedures. Bill has additional work experience with terrestrial- and aerial-based LiDAR acquisition and post-processing, and he has a proficiency with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and data processing using Structure for Motion (SfM) software applications.
Bill earned his BA in English from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and he is a Certified Photogrammetrist (CP) through the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS). He is also a member of the United Surveyors of Arizona and the American Society for Civil Engineering. Bill serves as the secretary and treasurer of the Dallas chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors and as a state director.
