Water Resources:

Our roots as a company were developed from the fundamental principals of engineering in hydraulics, hydrology and flood-plain management. From there we grew into one of Texas largest engineering companies but still remain dedicated to our beginnings in water resources. Our engineers and environmental scientists are ever vigilant about harnessing and preserving the benefits and purity of our water resources, employing environmental sensitivity and technical expertise. We create innovative, cost-effective, sustainable solutions for municipalities, governmental agencies and developers.

Mill Creek Master Drainage Study
Dallas, Texas

Client: City of Dallas

To address these serious flooding problems, Halff Associates was retained by the City of Dallas to develop a Master Drainage Plan for Mill Creek. Alternatives considered for bringing the Mill Creek trunk system up to current City of Dallas drainage standards include construction of upstream detention basins, parallel trunk storm sewer relief systems, diversion of upstream storm flows directly to the Trinity River or the Dallas Floodway sump area and/or bypassing flood problem areas such as Baylor Hospital and Old City Park.
