Dallas Intermodal Terminal

Halff Associates performed the design of the facility for approximately 352 acres in the cities of Wilmer and Hutchins, Texas for an intermodal container facility for Union Pacific Railroad. The facility was designed for an initial parking capacity of 4,000 trailers and containers and an ultimate capacity of 5,000.
SH 121 - West Segment
Denton County
Client: TxDOT Dallas District and Denton County
The first of its kind in the country, the Texas Department of Transportation’s State Highway (SH) 121 is a 16-mile high-tech toll road with a 5-level interchange at IH 35E. “It is the first road to be completed as a project stemming from legislation passed in 2003 that has allowed Texas to develop new and better ways to pay for highway construction,” stated Governor Rick Perry during the SH 121 Bypass Dedication on August 29, 2006.
US 77/83 Reconstruction
Brownsville, Texas
Client: TxDOT Pharr District
Halff Associates designed capacity improvements for existing four-lane controlled access freeway along a 5.9-mile long urban corridor within the City of Brownsville. The freeway was improved to a 6-lane controlled access facility with auxiliary lanes.
Fort Bend Westpark Tollway
Fort Bend County, Texas
Client: Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority
Halff Associates served as the Section Design Consultant (SDC) for Section 5 of the Fort Bend Westpark Tollway. Section 5 is a 1.05-mile section of the tollway that includes two east bound mainlanes, a two-lane east-bound frontage road, and three bridges.
