Halff Associates was contracted to provide the architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, structural engineering, and surveying services for an urban plaza and park in Coppell, Texas.
The amazing park amenities include a stage for open air productions, an amphitheater, lighted walking paths, open play areas, shaded seating, sustainable landscaping and locations for future sculpture and art displays. A dramatic 65-ft tower serves as a focal point for the park to the north, while a eye-catching shade structure to the south serves as a gathering spot for a picnic, wedding, or family reunion.
West Bethany Drive
Allen, Texas
Client: City of Allen/Emerson Partners, Inc.
The design included the horizontal and vertical alignment for approximately 5,100 lf of a six lane divided reinforced concrete minor arterial street from Watters Branch west of U.S. 75 to Alma Drive. Halff Associates created a roadway that blends into the natural prairie land by meandering the horizontal alignment, lowering the vertical alignment and creating wide open spaces within the median area.
Panther Creek Wastewater Interceptor
Frisco, Texas
Client: City of Frisco
Halff Associates provide design services for 11 miles of 54-inch through 15-inch wastewater pipeline along Panther Creek and Parvin Branch in the City of Frisco. Project includes alignment study, capacity analysis and pipeline sizing, surveying and design. Construction estimates for this project total $14 million. Conducted field investigations, utilized City of Frisco GIS data to prepare base maps for design. Survey services included easement document preparation.
Latino Cultural Center
Dallas, Texas
Client: City of Dallas
Halff Associates, in association with world renowned architect Ricardo Legorreta, completed the Latino Cultural Center. This stunningly beautiful center was designed and built to celebrate Latin Heritage, and to provide a repository for fine Latin art, Folkloric Dance and Teatro. The bright colors and geometric shapes set the undertone for the ‘Gateway’ to Downtown Dallas.
Port Isabel Streetscape
Port Isabel, Texas
Client: City of Port Isabel
Halff Associates prepared detailed design and construction plans for enhancements to the downtown area of Port Isabel, Texas. New palm trees and paver enhancements were added in the downtown area. Crosswalk connections and corner treatments were also added in the vicinity of the Port Isabel lighthouse.
