Halff Employee Receives Award from Structural Engineers Association of Texas


Stan R. Caldwell, P.E., SECB, F.ASCE, F.SEI, F.AEI is honored with prestigious award.


RICHARDSON, Texas (28 October 2011) - Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff), one of the nation’s leading engineering/architecture consulting firms, is pleased to announce that Stan R. Caldwell, P.E., SECB, F.ASCE, F.SEI, F.AEI, has been selected to receive the prestigious Wilbur C. Schoeller Memorial Award from the Structural Engineers Association of Texas (SEAoT). This award was presented at a banquet on 28 October, during the 2011 SEAoT Annual State Conference, held in Dallas, Texas.

The Wilbur C. Schoeller Memorial Award is presented to an individual, or individuals, who are members of SEAoT and whose personal character, professional ethics and service to the community are commensurate with such recognition. It is awarded to Individual(s) in private sector practice of structural engineering or structural engineering education, in recognition of specific achievement or attainment of noteworthy prominence in the structural engineering profession.

This award is SEAoT’s highest statewide honor, and Mr. Caldwell is the thirteenth recipient and the second Halff employee to receive this award.

Stan R. Caldwell, P.E., SECB, F.ASCE, F.SEI, F.AEI, is a Vice President with Halff at its headquarters in Richardson, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Mr. Caldwell's professional experience includes the structural design and management of more than 800 projects, including: commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings throughout the United States; road and highway bridges throughout Texas; hydraulic structures throughout Dallas; and offshore and arctic oil and gas production facilities throughout North America. He continues to make significant contributions to the advancement of the structural engineering profession through his continuous support and participation in numerous professional organizations. Mr. Caldwell is a licensed professional engineer in six states and is certifiied in the practice of structural engineering with the Structural Engineering Certification Board.

The Structural Engineers Association of Texas is the state society of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations. SEAoT, the largest and most active Association of registered structural engineers and allied professionals in Texas, is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 for the benefit of the structural engineering community, including structural engineers, university faculty members, students, and associates involved in the design, fabrication and construction of structures.
